Film Series on the Spanish Civil War
Throughout July, BrotfabrikKINO will host a film series marking the 90th anniversary of the Spanish Civil War and the Spanish Revolution. Presentation of a Simulation Project (in English)
On Tuesday, 29 August, the College Labor Time Economy Working Group from Boston, USA, together with the Network for Democratic Economic Planning (INDEP), will present an agent-based simulation model of a labour-time accounting economy. The project’s codebase has recently been made publicly available. The event will be held online and in English.
Film Premiere in Kreuzberg
Also in August, the film Every Field, Every Factory (Jeder Acker, jede Fabrik) will have its first public screening in Berlin-Kreuzberg – a special premiere. The film presents a concrete vision of the transition to a post-capitalist society and outlines the basic principles of a democratic planned economy. The premiere is scheduled for Wednesday, 26 August. Those who cannot attend will have another opportunity to see the film on 28 September at Aquarium in Kreuzberg, where it will be followed by a discussion.
Events with DIE LINKE
After presenting the concept of labour-time accounting to the Neukölln local branch of Berlin’s DIE LINKE last year, two further talks are now scheduled: on 24 September with the Schöneberg local branch and on 4 October with the party’s Working Group on Economy and Finance in Charlottenburg.
