¡Ándale! – Next Tuesday, August 12, we will be presenting the labor-time calculation and our app for the first time to a Mexican audience. We have been invited by the Institute for Political Education of the ruling Morena Party (https://www.infpmorena.com.mx) and are looking forward to the exchange. More on this in the coming days on our blog.
Ça ira! – The following week, we will take part in an international summer camp in southern France, where, among other topics, the focus will of course also be on labor-time calculation.
Na denn man tau! – On Friday, September 5, from 8 p.m., we will be in Hamburg at the libertarian center “Schwarze Katze” as guests at the monthly collective Friday event, to present the labor-time calculation there! It would be great to see you there – save the date!
¡Vamos, carajo! – We are signatories of a solidarity campaign for Argentina’s self-managed and reclaimed workplaces. The self-managed sector in Argentina is one of the most significant worldwide and is currently under severe threat due to the policies of President Javier Milei. Many worker cooperatives and organizations from other countries have already supported the campaign. We would be happy to see more active support from the German-speaking world as well. Just send us an email if you’d like to participate or sign – we’ll keep you updated. Alternatively, you are welcome to share the appeal within your networks. Here you can find the English translation:

They argue that the text “for good reason remains the most important point of reference for our debate,” while also offering critiques of various aspects of the theory:

https://forum.indep.network/Wikipedia article on planned economy – We are pleased that a new entry on “Planned Economy” is now online on Wikipedia. It fills an important gap, as until now the German-speaking world only had a very outdated article on “Centralized Planned Economy” that did not reflect the diverse possibilities of planned economic organization in a contemporary way:
https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlanwirtschaftLa Banda Vaga – The Freiburg group “La Banda Vaga” is organizing a series of events on the topic Democratic Planned Economy in Times of Climate Catastrophe. They position themselves in support of the Group of International Communists (GIK) and its model of labor-time calculation! At the same time, they see gaps in this model, especially regarding ecological issues and reproductive labor. In addition to an exciting lecture by Heide Lutosch on Care in a Democratic Planned Economy, further contributions will be offered. All information can be found here:
