We Take Over! Workplace Occupations and Workers’ Control in Latin America and Europe

A better society would be distinguished, among other things, by the fact that producers have control over their products instead of laboring for the prosperity of others. A first step in this direction will be the takeover of the means of production. Whether through the creation of self-managed cooperatives or the occupation of workplaces and their continuation under workers’ control: especially in Latin America, but also in Europe, there are many past and current examples of how such takeovers can succeed.

Dario Azzellini, Universidad Zacatecas (Mexico), will provide an overview and also discuss what cooperative networks can look like.

Organized by the Initiative for Democratic Labor-Time Accounting (IDA). Followed by a discussion. The event will be streamed on Telegram (https://t.me/gruppearbeitszeit)

On site at Mehringhof, whisper translation (DE→EN) will be available.
