The anarchist organization “Perspektive Selbstverwaltung” has incorporated labour time accounting into its program. We warmly welcome this, as we consider the concept necessary to build a society free of domination.

Under “Transition Phase,” “PS” writes: “Equal labour time accounting independent of money: In the long term, wage labour is to be completely abolished. This means that recording labour time will become unnecessary. However, during a transition phase, it may still be necessary to directly compensate work due to our socialization in capitalism. This can create a balance between what society produces and consumes. One way to implement this is to calculate the value of products in labour hours and effort. This allows different types of work (including reproductive work) to be evaluated and recognized equally, while simultaneously bringing us closer to the abolition of money.” https://perspektivesv.noblogs.org/post/2025/01/07/1942

We would only like to add that we think it also makes sense in the long term to record labour time so that society has an overview of how much it spends on certain products or services. This does not necessarily mean that the work performed must then be compensated with certificates for consumption.
